On Saturday 5th July, we were invited to the opening of the new Dinosaur Escape Adventure Golf at the West London Golf Centre in Northolt. The American concept finally reaches us and introduces a good alternative to the traditional mini-golf. There is a similar Dinosaur Safari Golf in Barnet created by the same people.
Well, fun escape indeed it is!
You get your score card, clubs and balls at the entrance and off you go. We had our toddler in the buggy with us, but there was plenty of manoeuvring space, except for the very last bit. However, we were re-assured by the manager Chris that there would be proper paths in place soon. It’s worth noting that we found Chris and his team quite friendly and helpful.
The course is intricately detailed with funky features – fossil rock paths, tropical plants, streams of blue and red water, waterfall, bridges – great layout and landscaping.
There are 18 holes, and every hole is a different and fun challenge – we were giggling throughout. There are few breathing and moving dinosaurs, with a massive naughty one in the middle sending out huge roars just as you are about to take a swing!
The only criticism – there is no seating area. It would be nice to have a couple of benches for less abled to rest, to feed baby, etc. Hopefully, once they settle in, they will sort something out.
They are open daily except Christmas day from 9am until dusk. Last round is 45 minutes prior to closing. Prices start from £3 for under 4s.
The car park is spacious. There is a café and toilet facilities at the West London Golf Club Centre. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to check out the facilities as it had started raining heavily but we will be going back there in late August to review their children’s parties so watch the space for an update.
Once you visit, don’t forget to leave a review on our Mumsnet Ealing main site. Enjoy!
