Local mums and founders of Ealing Mums in Business, Shelley Henderson and Erin Thomas-Wong, are being honoured with a thank you reception at The House of Commons this December, hosted by Angie Bray MP.
The Conservative MP for Ealing Central and Acton said: “I am very keen to support local small businesses and start-ups in Ealing. Shelley Henderson and Erin Thomas-Wong, founders of ‘Ealing Mums In Business’, do a brilliant job encouraging parents to set up their own companies by organising events such as networking evenings, the Northfields night market, Ealing’s online Little Black Book directory, business training and development classes and many other events. Their work in bringing together local talent, inspiring parents to run their own businesses and advocating on their behalf, benefits the whole community. That is why I am delighted to be holding a Parliamentary reception on 8th December to acknowledge their important contribution and thank them for all that they do.”
The mums founded their company in 2010 with a goal to eliminate the isolation of working for yourself. Since then Ealing Mums in Business has grown organically and developed into a multi-faceted business proudly offering a variety of services. Today it provides a wide range of social media and management training courses, an online business directory, local meetups, networking forums, and runs a number of fabulous family and night market events.
Shelley and Erin say they are delighted by the Parliamentary reception: “We are extremely proud of what we have achieved to date and are incredibly honoured that Angie Bray has recognised our efforts and hard work.”
