Micro Scooters – the Kings of all scooters!

These funky scooters have been around for a while now.  We bought one for our eldest daughter 4 years ago, quite reluctantly, I must say, thinking the price was a bit punchy for a kid’s scooter.  She’d already had a bicycle and a couple of others scooters she never got on with.

Well, this funky apparatus changed everything! It was love at first sight and her most loyal friend over the following three and a half years from those first awkward attempts, to first school run, to becoming her faithful every day companion manoeuvring together over those tricky bumps and kerbs.

We have now upgraded her to the Maxi and she glides along at the speed of Concorde leaving us running behind (hilarious sight!).

First school run with her dearest pal!

Mumsnet Local editorships across London have recently teamed up with Micro Scooters to promote one of their babies and they have kindly sent us the 3-in-1 for our 2 year old toddler to try out.

From the Micro Scooters website:

3 in 1 Ride – this scooter adapts to your child’s ever changing needs with 3 different stages to suit from ages 1 to 5 years, giving you excellent value for money.

1. A ride on scooter (with adjustable seat setting for ages 1-2); 2. A toddler scooter (with chunky toddler handlebar for ages 2-3);  3. A Mini Micro scooter (with traditional T-bar handlebar for ages 3-5)

Our son is not as advanced and steady on his feet as our daughter was at his age. In fact, he only started walking few months ago.  I was a bit apprehensive letting him try it out but I needed not to worry. He took an instant liking to it! We played with a ride on for few days to start with. Now the bar is on, and he is gaining more and more confidence each day.

Micro Scooters have some funky accessories.  It is worth getting their helmet (they are super-lightweight and adjust easily) and we also love their bottle-holder and the bell.

The verdict? No brainer – Micro Scooters are the Kings of all scooters out there! They might seem pricey but the quality is superb and so is their customer service. Their parts are easily replaceable, the scooters are sturdy, easy to steer and will last you many years. Excellent value for money, we say!
